Common parking violations

Below are the most common parking violations that the Village police commonly see:

· In violation of an official sign;

· Within 5 feet of a driveway opening;

· Within 30 feet of a stop sign or other traffic device;

· Within 35 feet of an intersection;

· Within 15 feet of a fire hydrant;

· Within 2 feet of another vehicle;

· More than 1 foot from the curb;

· Opposite the flow of traffic (‘left wheels to the curb’)

· At the same location for more than 24 hours unless the vehicle is adjacent to the property lines of the owner’s residence
